FLY BEAUTIFUL ANGEL … FLY AWAY

Fly Beautiful Angel … Fly Away

(Dedicated to Diane Kearney Smith with Love)

I just learned you went home to Heaven
My Heart began to weep in silence for you
You walked a path that was hard, rocky

Until you could go no further
You never gave up no matter how rough
Walked until your body had to rest

Rest to go on another journey
God was sending angels to come take you home
Home where you don’t suffer anymore

Oh the grief your loved ones must feel
My Heart goes out for all the pain
Of losing a mother, wife, family member

We knew each other but, not well
Doesn’t matter because I cared for you
The battle you had to fight … I’ve been on that road

Since the day I learned you had a rough road ahead
I was pulling for you saying many prayers
You never knew what was in my Heart

You never knew what you went through
Affected me, made me emotional
I’ve been right to Death’s door … came back

I hoped you could do that
God must have needed you more than he needed me
Making you most special … fly beautiful Angel … fly away

Note by this Author:

I can’t describe the sadness I feel in my Heart.  My Heart is drenched in tears of sorrow for a special person whom I was never close to in life, but knew.  I traveled in the past … on the road she was traveling on … I worried for her … I wanted her to win her battle.  Sadly, she didn’t … I just cared so much.  I don’t even know why I am affected as deeply as I am … I just am.  Rest in peace, Diane.
